If the only information you have provided is your name and address, you likely have nothing to fear. However, you should contact the authorities so that they can begin an investigation, and hopefully stop the scammers.

Apparently you were dumb enough to give some unknown your name and address, but not dumb enough to give them your banking and credit card information, and THAT's what they really wanted. You didn't "fall" into a scam, you walked into it. As far as Yahoo/MSN is concerned, they are very much aware of this and since they are not responsible for it, it's up to the individual who opens spam email and like a dunce, sends out their name and address. Whoever the scammer is, he really can't do much with your name and address. But the ultimate responsibilty for your email rests with you. DON'T OPEN EMAIL FROM SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW!!!!! DON'T GIVE SOME UNKNOWN PERSON YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE AND ANY OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION.

"it has ruin my trust in pepole these days, how do i regain that?" You don't!!!! Ruined trust is a good thing. The judicial system in other countries is guilty until proven innocent. Apply this to trust in your life. Make them earn it.

Hi it's a problem we all have. The only solution I have found is to have a seperate e-mail address which I only give to trusted contacts. I change this every so often. It stops the spam for a while at least. I If you allow e-mail on Yahoo answers anyone can get your address. Good luck and hope this helps.
