How do I reinstall Yahoo! mail?

How can I uninjstall and then reinstall Yahoo mail without loosing my contacts list?

  • Yahoo mail is not working properly and I have not been able to find a fix. I would like to uninsall the current program and reiinstll with a fresh program but I am concerned abojut loosing my contacts list. Does anyone know howto do thisj?

  • Answer:

First of all----Yahoo mail is NOT installed on your computer----so of course you can't un-install it-----nor can you ever install it. Yahoo is a web site and Yahoo Mail is merely a page on that web site---neither of which is installed on your computer. If your mail isn't working properly----chances are that it's a problem with your computer (and not the Yahoo web site). "Especially"----if you have upgraded to the newer mail version----which is full of glitches----and usually won't work right unless you have a powerful computer with lots of RAM---and changed your browser to the one Yahoo recommends---and have high speed internet----and clear out your cache often.

First of all you can remove Yahoo from your computer and reinstall it and it will not affect your Yahoo email account. Even if you cancel your email account you can still reactivate it within 90 days and you will not lose anything. Before you do this I recommend you contacting Yahoo to see if they can resolve this.
