Answer:
This is a known phishing scam attempting to get you to give them all your personal info. It's not from Yahoo, just delete it and ignore it. Good luck and be careful.

That is a phishing scam, do not answer it! Because if you do, you may end up with a hacked YA account and/or a drained bank account.

It's a scam mail. Not only does someone get access to your mail, but the Date of Birth and your name is usually enough to get a credit card issued.

Definitely not true. Yahoo will not send you an email asking for that information.

No. This is a fake. First of all - yahoo (or any email provider) will not ask you your password to be sent by email. Second - it is easy to verify your account to be active: log in and read mail. That`s all. Yes, yahoo deletes unused accounts - but only those who show no activity at all for more than an X period of time (90 days minimum i believe). And only then will they send a mail to that email, and to any alternate addresses they know - ONLY asking you to log in to your account if you wish to keep it. They will not ask password - they already know it (how else would the system know if the password is wrong or right). delete these emails - never respond to them. If you do - your account will be hijacked and abused to send spam from.

It is not a real Yahoo message, Yahoo would not ask you for your personal information in an E-mail like that. It is a scam to get your personal information and/or your money, or both! Do not respond to it. Report it, forward it to the FTC at [email protected] and to the abuse desk of the sender's ISP. For yahoo, report them here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ya%E2%80%A6 Choose Fraud as the reason for the violation you're reporting on. Also, if the E-mail appears to be impersonating a bank or other company or organization, forward the message to the actual organization.
