Is there an effective way to deal with email spam?

This is for yahoo proper. Isn't there some way to get spam to not even show up in our email? In other words t?

• My spam gets 15-20 spams a day. I want to know how to have it not even show up in my eMail. There has got to be a way to reverse the spam back to the originators. Whoever comes up with a program that will do that would be rich overnight. It would stop spamming in its tracks. Unsubscribing doesn't work--it just lets them know that the address is a good one and they sell that address to other spammers.

  The return address on almost all spam is not monitored. Returning mail would serve no purpose. Don't forget spam is not illegal. It is just illegal to continue to send it after you tell them to stop. Since most comes from outside the country there is not much that can be done legally. Some people want advertising so you can not just ban all advertising email. ℬ ℋ
