How to block an email?

I need a techie PLEEZE! How can I block email a person when a person is purposely spamming me.?

  • How can I block email a person when a person is purposely spamming me. She's harrassing me and says things like "why remove you "friend" when we are not friends. This was a client at an expo and now she's gone nuts for weeks now. I blocked her from behind the scenes with network solutions, but she's managed each time to use different email addresses. And now she's managed to email me again with the same ones. I don't know if she's a techie or what, but I'm very frustrated and am glad that this nut case doesn't know where I live as I'm sort of known in my industry. Now. How can I permanently block her. I have outlook express and clicked on "block sender"....please tell me what more can I do. IS there some type of software I can get or something...ANYTHING??? Thank you in advance.

  • Answer:

You can use filters to send all of those emails elsewhere. You said you were using Outlook Express. Click TOOLS > MESSAGE RULES > MAIL... The upper box says '1. Select the Conditions for your rule:' Click a box next to a 'rule' that you want to set. For example, if the sender always puts their name at the bottom of the email, put a check next to the rule that says "Where te message body contains specific words". In the next box, under "2. Select the Actions for your rule:" click the box next to "Delete it". If you wanted to get nasty, you could also click "Forward it to people" to instantly send the message back to her. In the next box, under "3. Rule Description (click on...)", click on the underlined words to edit them. So, click on "contains specific words". Type (a) recurring word(s) in the upper box and click "Add". For example, her name would go in this box. Now click "OK". If you are also forwarding this message to someone else, click on "people" in the "3. Rule Description..." box. Type in their email address and click "OK". Under box '4. Name of the rule:', type something that you want to name it. When you are done, click "OK", and then "OK" at the next window to activate this rule. This is a sample of how to create a 'rule', or often referred to as a 'filter', in Outlook Express. The same idea applies to other email clients (programs) in setting up filters when you keep getting annoying emails. Hope this helps.
