What do these email newsletter services do to prevent their e-mails from going to spam folders?

All emails sent from my server email (WEBMAIL) is going to peoples spam box. Please help?

  • Ok, all the emails that are sent from my server (Shared IP) are going to peoples spam folders. I have done many tests and nothing seems to work. I am not listed as spam anywhere either? This is a WEBMAIL email system being sent from server out to recipients Does anyone know how to fix this? And if so how?

  • Answer:

Yep it's the IP thing. I have a static but I'm not a 'major player' so even with that I have difficulty once in a while. Are you writing from a 'registered domain?' I had another issue years ago with yahoo I think it was where I needed to add something to the DNS record to make me 'ofishal.' I had a -very- recent (as in lat week) issue with I -think- it was craigslist. (This is not your specific problem but just an example of what could happen.) Been using CL for years but all of a sudden I got an error message. It told me to send an -email- to a particular microsoft.com address (internal, not a 'user,') with a certain code in the email. I immediately got back an email that said 'OK you're approved' and after that everything works fine. Apparently MS is doing some sort of 'approval' system for other folks. On the receiving end, the spam-filtered messages, look in the email headers. Look for lines that don't look normal, that might mention some sort of 'possible spam' or 'rejected' or 'unknown' words or phrases. With that info you can google for possible solutions.
