    This is called spoofing or phishing, and what they want is your logon id and password, which you would be asked for to "confirm" you are who you claim to be. This did NOT come from Yahoo. If you received an email impersonating Yahoo! and would like to report it please forward the email to: [email protected]. The message you were sent may not be legitimate - if the message wants you to download an attached file, that seems a little suspicious, there's no reason I can think of that you would have to look at a file. I would recommend contacting Yahoo through the Yahoo website, not replying to the email address that sent the message.
