How to get emails back from Outlook Express?

I get loads of spam emails on Outlook Express?

  • I get loads of spam emails on my Outlook Express email. I have set all the settings to high - but this does nothing to stop them. Any suggestions?

    It's not really the mail app. that's the problem but the mail service .. The Web mail services eg. Yahoo mail and their 'SpamGuard' takes care of 90%+ of all spam (I believe Gmail has something similar = log-on and look in your 'settings') Most POP3 email services have some sort of server side spam 'blocking' or 'filtering' service, although some do charge extra There are filters available for Outlook (see link) however I've no idea how 'good' they are since I never use MS s/w if I can help it ..

I am guessing that your email is actually Yahoo and you download to Outlook Express. If so, you can get the best of both worlds. Use the web mail service of Yahoo to set the spam filter on so that Yahoo moves the rubbish into the bulk folder Now, in the POP access and Forwarding select the I do not want to download spam radio button and the rubbish will stay up on the Yahoo servers. The good stuff should still get down to Outlook.
