Why do so many scams come from Nigeria?

What is up with Nigeria?

• I have been using the Internet for a very long time and I notice (not stereo typing) that soooo many email scams come out of Nigeria. They ask to be a business partner or they ask if you can help them with some sort of business. Sometimes they tell you you won something etc. I laugh and shake my head every time I see these emails and wonder to myself. Don't these people have any ethics? They must realize that the world doesn't trust them.

  It all comes from the top. When you are from a country where the politicians and the police are corrupt, the poor figure they can be corrupt as well as nothing is going to happen to them
