Why am I getting duplicate emails from same sender all of a sudden?

I've been getting a lot of emails 'delivery unavaible, return to sender" I haven't initiated any

  • Several different subsystems are bouncing emails 'back' to me. i haven't initiated any of these. I'm concerned about the level of traffic in my account. I get a ton of these garbage emails.

You are getting spoofed. Some spamming dirtbag is sending out their spam using your e-mail account. This happened to me before when I was on AOL. They seemed pretty clueless as to how to fix it; maybe Yahoo knows better.

Your PC has a virus or worm that is sending out mails, probably sourcing from your address book. First of all disconnect from the internet to keep the mails from going out and infecting other PC's. If you don't have an anti-virus program, go buy one, McAfee and Norton are good choices. Install it and run a virus scan, that will delete or block the virus. If you have an anti-virus program, it is most probably not up to date or it would have detected the virus. In that case, set the program to automatically download virus specifications and upgrade the engine, then reconnect to the internet to allow it to do so. When in doubt, consult your dealer.
