Why am I getting so many invites to connect?

Why do I keep getting these?

  • I keep getting friend invites on Y! Pulse like "M4itIU6itFQ2fqB rCNZ wants to connect with you on Yahoo!" "K2guHS4hsDP1d O2epBMXbm wants to connect with you on Yahoo!" They keep piling up in my inbox and it's so annoying. I get like two every five minutes.

    During the past couple of days quite a few users have reported the same problem, it seems to be a new way of spamming, where once you accept the connection, the user posts the link to a pornography site. Be very careful, since such websites have been known to plant all sorts of malware on your harddrive! What you can do is this: 1: Go to "My Activity" at the top of this page, click "Edit My Preferences" -> click "Privacy and Communication". Scroll down and click "don't share my updates", hit submit. 2: On the mail screen click "options", at the top of the list unmark "enable updates", click "save changes" at the upper left.

There seems to be a current problem with a bot. I have not received a single email request. Try the following and see if it works. Go to http://pulse.yahoo.com/y/settings/updates and make sure "share my updates" is unchecked. I do not know if that will solve the problem but I do not have it checked and do not receive requests. Note that this will also stop anyone from seeing any of your updates. This is just a temporary measure until Yahoo gets rid of the bot that is causing the problem. ₪ ʎəɿʞɹɐq ₪

Most of them are are viruses or things that will mess up your computer.so dont open any spam or send your friends links on emails because the puts viruses on the computer,

Its possible that you went to thoose fake accounts that keep posting a link to download yahoo answers somethin, it is a hacking tool, they are posting them in every section and are generating 10 accounts by the second, when you click it it automatically downloads it to your computer, the link contains the word google or something, just be carefull
