How to change a password in Yahoo Mail?

  • You would think it would be simpler to change my password for my Yahoo mail account. Using the "new" version of the email, if I go to Account Information, and then select Manage Passwords and Account Security, it takes me to some AT&T page for DSL subscribers that doesn't really relate to my Yahoo mail. I have a very old Yahoo mail account, from before AT&T took over, I think...it only seems to be able to deal with current, paying AT&T customers when it comes to password changing. Is there a simple way to change my password?

    To change your password assuming it's Yahoo http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/id_password/edit-13.html;_ylt=AorQgl_zRoiScCnCae.Mw2ziwSN4 before you change it back up any important mail you may have. Several people have lost their mail when changing the password.
