How do you know if someone deleted their facebook...or deleted/blocked you?

How do you go about prosecuting someone you know has hacked into your email accounts and deleted everything.?

• I know with every fiber of my body that my ex-girlfriend hacked into my email accounts and deleted damaging emails that i was to use against her in court. For many weeks i thought something was simply wrong with Yahoo!'s email. Every time i went to log into my email account, my password wouldn't work so I'd have to reset it. Resetting the password was way too easy, all you needed was my city of birth and birth date. (Which my ex obviously knew) I just thought it was a Yahoo! glitch. Until one day, not only was my Yahoo! account completed deleted of all email history and folders but so was my Gmail account. That's when it was way too obvious. Because both of my seperate accounts were hacked into. My question is, is what she did illegal? If so, what is the punishable penalty? Please advise on how to prosecute. I have no idea which steps to take or what authorities to contact to have them investigate.

  you don't have a hard evidence. besides, for just an email address deleted because of that is not an excuse to get one be prosecuted. there has to be a hard core not pertaining to emails only. what she did is illegal of course, but you don't have grounds too for prosecution, do you??? if i were you, just create an account which she musn't know and do not put info like you did before. it must be completely different so she cannot get it again. *even if a new account is created as long as the info is still the same such as name, location, zip-code, bdate, SQ, etc, then it can still be stripped out from you. (coz i did love doing it with my Ex before). i only retain one for him so i can play with his a.ss when he gets online assuming he is talking to somebody else. lol.
