Can i change my email address for my xbox live account?

my email will expire and i would like to change it for my log in, can i do this? would it still work with expired email, i have xbox live gold account. please show where i can do this and how

Answer:
you must first go to www.live.com and create an account with the new email address, then go to your xbox - account management - and then theres an option to change the email to the new live account. after typing in your password and registering the new account, whenever you log into xbox.com, it'll have the new email address. Please be grateful, it took me a long time to figure this out.
