How can I migrate to a new Yahoo user ID?

I'm unable to log in my Yahoo Mail, both the user ID and Password fields are inactivated, anyone knows why?

  • I've been unable to log in my Yahoo Mail for a couple of weeks. The problem remaining until now is both the User ID and Password fields of Yahoo Mail are inactivated when I tried to log in. I dont know what the real reasion is. But, I guess maybe 2 reasions involed. one is because of the new SSL for delieveing the user ID & password by Yahoo (if so, do I need to install a new browser? for example, Internet Explorer 7.1, does it work?), another possible reasion is my Yahoo Mail account has been hacked by some people else or by some kind of virus, if so, what is the best, more convenient and practical way for me to solve this problem? Thanks 1st for any good advice.

  • Answer:

You can get a new password, a Yahoo! ID reminder, or both. Visit the Sign-in (http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_forgot_pw?new=1&.done=&.src=&partner=&.intl=us) Problems page and supply some basic verification information, such as your birthday and the ZIP or postal code you provided when you registered. Make sure to provide the same information you gave during registration or when you last updated your account. Without the correct verification information, you will not be able to obtain a new password. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/id_password/edit-20.html
