How do I add more contacts?

My contacts were deleted by a system error internal 50001, how do i get my contacts back or add them in again?

My wife changed her e-mail address. I went to my contacts to add her and a internal system error 50001 came up and all my contacts were deleted. I cannot now even add contacts. can you help
