Is Yahoo web messenger safe?

I can sign in by yahoo messenger, but i can't sign in by the web !!?

  • i've changed my password into new one with (arabic letters). the password took 2 days to be activated! after that i noticed that i can sign in from my yahoo messenger only but not from the web. i can access by clicking on "yahoo! mail" icon in yahoo messenger, i can use my mail normally. but i can't change my password back. i can't access to account information area. when i try to sign in from the web it says "invalid ID or password". unfortunately, i forgot one or two of my registration info. so i can't get new password or reset it. i'm sending mails to yahoo support but it seems that my registration info "birth date, zip code .. etc" is very important to them to give me a new password even it's my account. i'm signing in, sending yahoo support & recieving mails from them, i ask & answer in yahoo answers by this account. after all, i lost half of my account after changing my password into non-english language, i heard that it's more secure & it is. but i feel stupid now. HELP!
