Why did my Yahoo Account get deactivated?

I think my old yahoo account has been hacked? is there a way to get it deactivated/deleted?

So I tried signing into my old yahoo account (after my mom and a couple my friends told me that they were getting messages from me on yahoo messenger) and my password wouldn't work, I haven't changed it or anything. It was obviously wasn't me because I did not have internet at that time and one time when I was at my friend's house I saw that my old account was online and tried talking to my friend, posing as me. >>Is there a way to get it deactivated/deleted even if i don't remember the security question or alternate email thing?
