Yahoo Mail won't let me stay logged in as a different user?
-
I have a personal email and a work one, and I set my personal ID to be logged in for the week in the check box when I log in. But when I try to log in as my work ID, after about 30 seconds yahoo will automatically log me out and log me back into my personal ID, making it really frustrating. So how do I make yahoo allow me to log into another account for as long as I want after I log out of my main account?

Answer:
If you sign in to Yahoo! with the “Keep me signed in for 2 weeks” box checked, you will remain signed in to the site for two weeks unless: •You click a “Sign Out” link. These links are typically at the top of Yahoo! pages (near where it says “Welcome, [your Yahoo! ID]”). If you want to remain signed in for the full two-week period, you need to make sure that you close your browser when you’re finished using Yahoo!, instead of clicking “Sign Out”. Clicking “Sign Out” will require that you sign back in with your Yahoo! ID and password the next time you want to use Yahoo!. •You’re using browser extensions and/or software that is clearing cookies automatically. Some browsers have extensions that clear cookies on browser close and certain programs you may have installed do the same. These applications will also clear the cookies that keep you signed in, requiring you to sign in again whenever you close a browser and start a new one. In order to use the “Keep me signed in” setting as intended, you need to disable these settings. Common examples include the CookieCuller extension for Firefox and Webroot Window Washer. If you want to remain signed-in for longer than you have your browser open, you’ll need to disable, uninstall these applications or modify the advanced settings of these programs to exempt cookies in the yahoo.com domain. To check if you have CookieCuller installed in your Firefox browser, go to “Tools” and “Extensions” to see if it’s listed. •You’re manually clearing cookies from your computer. If you manually go into the Options menu of your web browser and clear cookies, you will also remove the cookies that keep you signed into Yahoo!. •You’ve changed your Password Prompt settings in Account Info. If you modified the “Prompt for Password” setting within Account Info ever since you created your Yahoo! account, you may have reset the amount of time before we expire your password to be other than two weeks. To check this setting for your account, you must be signed in first, and then click on the “My Account” link at the top of most pages on Yahoo! or click on your first name or Yahoo! ID on the Yahoo! frontpage. Next, click on the “Edit” link next to the “Member Information” section and scroll to the bottom of the Edit Member Information page to a dropdown menu entitled “Prompt for Password”. If this menu says something other than “Every 2 Weeks”, it will override the amount of time that you remain signed in using the “Keep me signed in” option on the Sign In page. To reset this, you can edit the setting back to “Every 2 Weeks” and click the “Finished” button at the bottom of the page. If you are an AT&T or Verizon user, the location of this option is slightly different: When you click on a “My Account” link, you’ll need to click on the “Edit Personal Info” button to see a module on the right-hand side of the screen that says “Password Prompt”. If this setting reads other than “Every 2 Weeks”, click the “Edit” button, change your settings and hit “Save Changes”.

In order to use the "Sign in as a different user" link you have to sign out completely from the other account. if you sign out from the other account, you are no longer signed in automatically. For your second account, just go to the home page of the mail service you have an account with. For yahoo, you want to go to yahoo.com and click on mail. Or click here: https://login.yahoo.com/config/login_verify2?&.src=ym Sign in using your ID name and password for that second account
