How to cancel my yahoo messenger account?

few months ago i was using a yahoo messenger account and met some several friends. but then its not fun anymore because my ex-boyfriend keep on nagging me so i want my account cleared out and start a new one.

Click on https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_use%E2%80%A6 Sign into the page with the Yahoo! ID you wish to delete. Once deleted the Yahoo! ID will not be available for approximately 90 days and anything associated with the Yahoo! ID will be deleted as well.
