you first click on the forgot password and then you type in the details then you try if you have Firefox to recover the password coz Firefox remembers them...

when u go to site yahoomail.com u will see an option 'forgot password?' right below where u are supposed to... click ther.. they will ask a few question for ur identification.. answer them... then if u have given an alternate id the Yaho people will send a password there.. if not they will just tell u... hope that will help PS: dont forget to change the password when u are able to access ur account.

even i too had experienced the same kind of problem........try "forgot password" link just below the space where you used to enter your password........it will ask you questions which you need to answer n it will give you an alternate pw.

click on "forgot my password" or thru this link https://edit.yahoo.com/forgot?login provide the full info of that account so that a new password will be given to you.
