Why did my Yahoo Account get deactivated?

My Yahoo voice account was deactivated, but my credit card was charged. How can I get my money back?

  • I received this message: Sorry, but for security reasons your account has been deactivated. • Answer:

Call the toll free number on your credit card statement or on the back of your credit card and tell them you wish to contest the Yahoo Voice charge because your account had been deactivated. When a specific charge is in question, you are most likely not expected to pay for that charge as long as it is under investigation. You'd have to talk to your credit card company to see if that is their policy. I'm not sure if it is a legal issue or if it is a company policy issue. Some times that will take care of the problem or at least initiate the process of getting it straightened out. Immediately before or after completing that task, you could follow thru with the message from Yahoo! stating, "visit our Self Help Pages. For more help, just shoot an email to our support staff." That way you are covering BOTH ends of the problem to help it get resolved as soon as possible. Hope that helps.
