I am trying to access my old yahoo e-mail i never closed. I forgot the password, when i try to retrieve it say

I had the same problem. Obviously your birthday is correct but did you move since you had this account...meaning the zip code would now be different? Anyway..what I did was I emailed Yahoo services from a different account I had and I told them the problem, then I gave them all the information about myself that I possibly could including how long I had the account and how long it had been since I last accessed it. Then then replied and said the only way they can get me back into the account is if I answered the security question that I set for myself when I opened the account and which everybody sets when they open a yahoo account. Its like... what's your mothers maiden name or something. This guy told me if I couldn't answer this question then the account was lost, there was nothing he could do. But I answered it correctly and he gave me a new password.
