Tell me how to delete my yahoo messenger account and start a new one?

I do not want the email address used for my yahoo messenger account. I understand that I will have to delete the account and start a new one to get rid of the existing email address. HOW DO I DO THAT?

Hi Retta, You can change the name that people see on your Messenger Switch messenger on and click on you photo"avatar" then click on contact details then in Nick name type in what you want others to see then click on Save/close And that's it,no need to get a new one. Have a great day . Jess :)
