A question about e-mail security?

Is it possible for someone to hack in my email account, change password AND security question?

Yahoo "security" has been absolutley NO help. The first security question is "Where did you meet your wife?". I KNOW where I met my wife, but it keeps saying my answer is incorrect. Then my alternate question is "Favorite teacher?" I would NEVER have that as my security question because I don't have one!
