Any legal action I can take against someone who has REPEATEDLY changed my password to break into my email??
-
My estranged husband repeatedly (15 - 18 times), even as I was logged into my Yahoo! account, changed my password to access my email for the purpose of gathering "evidence" to use against me in the divorce. This evidence is even a point in his Complaint against me. I had paid for extra storage space, with MY credit card, (which is NOW free from Yahoo!). Unaware to him is the fact that I was alerted, by way of an automated Yahoo! message to my ISP email account, each time the password was changed. He used my credit card info and/or security question answers to be able to do this. He has, admittedly to me, done this "just once" and denies any further break-ins. That is why I say he is unaware of the Yahoo! alerts to my ISP email account. He is a very powerful and influential businessman in our area and state. Even my attorney, at this time, is befuddled. Any and all assistance is GREATLY appreciated and might assist others who find themselves in a similar situation.

Answer:
i am shocked at that, i just cant believe it. is there any way that you can print the alerts off if he does it to show that his "evidence" was gathered under despicable circumstances, and at least show character flaws and poor judgment. otherwise your just going to have to change your email acct. all together. im sorry im not experienced in that but i wish you all the best in what seems like an up hill battle with a total @ss. good luck and god bless!

You need to change your security questions to something he would never know. Make them up if you have to... such as "what is your dogs name" if you never had a dog. Don't know much about the legalities of it though.

The most that you can do is try to get a temporary restraining order against him, that is for you and your property....That is unless he has USED the credit card without your knowledge.. then you can get him on theft and fraud. The other thing that I would advise is to open a new Yahoo ID that he would know nothing about. Good luck! I know what it's like.
