How do you set up an alias on your mail?

Mail to alias suddenly stopped working: "This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account"?

  • I've had an alias as my <first.last> name on my Yahoo account for years and it just stopped working yesterday. (I have another account with a different <first.last> name as an alias and that still works). It is still listed in my alias list. I can even change a "lost password" for that alias from the login screen. But, I can't login with that alias to My Yahoo or Yahoo Mail, and mail to that alias fails with this message (e.g. from my google account): Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [email protected] Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account ([email protected]) [-5] - mta113.mail.sp2.yahoo.com (state 18).
