I have had no luck actually closing a yahoo account. The best thing I have found to do it leave it inactive long enough for them to do it automatically. But, if telling all those in your address book to switch emails is not practical for some reason, you can download a shareware program called Ypops and set it up so it will bring email from multiple accounts into Outlook Express and read it all there in one shot. http://sourceforge.net/projects/yahoopops/

Maybe perhaps you should write to all of the people who write to you on the account you wish to close and tell them your new e-mail address?

you would need to pay yahoo for pop forwarding ... 20 bucks a year .. otherwise just check both ... you can have as many as you like .. ps. you can't close mail without closing the whole account unless you ignore it for 4 months ... then yahoo deactivates mail

you can send a message to all of your contacts telling them your new email address
