How do I change my email password on Yahoo mail?

Hacked: how to change Yahoo password when it's attached to ATT email, too?

  • Here is my problem: - I have had a Yahoo email account for a long time. - For a while I had an ATT account (@sbcglobal.net) that became linked with my Yahoo account. I had the same userID @sbcglobal.net and @yahoo.com. - I moved this past summer and cancelled ATT service. ATT sees me as no longer having an account, but yet my Yahoo mail is still linked with ATT. - My Yahoo account was hacked. I need to change my password, but *anything* I do to change my Yahoo password dumps me onto an ATT page. I can not follow any of the provided instructions (Account Info, Member Center, etc) because every time, I get shoved over to an ATT site. - ATT won't let me log in to change my password, because (as I mentioned), they see my account as being closed. - ATT customer support tells me that it takes 90 days to separate my Yahoo and ATT emails. They say they have no other ways to help me, because I don't have an ATT account and now this is a Yahoo problem. - I can't find any way to resolve this through Yahoo. Now I'm stuck.... Thank you so much for any advice you can share!
