How do I make Yahoo mail the major email account?

I want to stop spam, should I close my yahoo mail and make another yahoo email account? If so how do I do it?

  There is no way to completely stop spam unless you plan to never get on the internet again. You cannot send an email message - you can't logon at all. To do so, opens the computer back up to spam. Spam is an unfortunate way of life these days and you need to learn to control it. You hold the key to this - watch where you go and where you leave your email address. Closing your present account and opening another one will present the same problems you have now. You are ultimately responsible for what comes into your email - if you don't learn to control it, it will control you. I'm not going to tell you how to close your present account and open another one, because those instructions are plainly given by Yahoo.
