How to stop an email from someone?

Someone added my email to their yahoo ID, how can I stop this?

You recently added a new email address to your Yahoo! account, or initiated verification of an existing email address. To verify that you own this email address, simply click on the link below. Your email address was added to the Yahoo! ID: ge**********. If this Yahoo! ID does not belong to you, or you did not recently add your email address to this Yahoo! ID, you may permanently stop receiving messages for this Yahoo! ID at this email address. Please let us know. I got this message, and I never did this. I can't remember what my yahoo ID is but I know for sure it didn't start with a 'G'. I think someone else is trying to add my email to their ID so they can gain access. How can I check what my yahoo ID is? And two, in the link there's this message. "If you choose to remove this email address from this Yahoo! account, we will be unable to contact you at this email address, should you ever forget your password or Yahoo! ID." What will happen if I hit 'Stop Using this address'? Will I no longer be able to use my yahoo email?
