How do I delete a Hotmail account?

My hotmail account has been sending out spam automatically and i am starting to believe the only way to stop it is to delete my account. I deleted all my contacts already hoping that would stop them from sending it out but it hasn't. All i need to know is how to easily delete my hotmail account so i can go on an make a new email free from this spam. Please help! Thank you in advance!

Options in the upper right Options> Mail Options> Manage your account > Account details Bottom of the page Other Options Close acct

Delete Windows Live "Hot mail" ~~~~~~~~ Sign into it and next to your name top right click on the down arrow,then click on Account, then, Scroll down to Other Options and click on Close your account. Good luck. Have a great weekend. Lennon 4 ever
