How can i change my e-mail adress in yahoo but not erase my account?

I want to change my e-mail adress for yahoo, but I don't know how. How can I keep my same account and not erase it?

Answer:
I don't think that you can do that. Really, when you change you email address you are creating a new account. It's not like a phone number that can be forwarded.

I have the same question so looked for answers to yours but see you have none! So I'll tell you what I did in the meantime. I just opened another separate account on Yahoo using the name I really wanted -- this one here -- and will eventually cancel the first one that a friend had set up earlier using some screwy and way-too-long name. Have to first get the address book set up tho for this newer account and then will make the switch. Help?
