How do I download all of my gmail messages to outlook?

How do I tell outlook that I don't want the entire 18,000 messages in my gmail inbox to be recieved right now?

  • I just got outlook up and running, but it seems that it wants to download all 18,000 images I have in my gmail account to my computer. All I really want it to do is download MAYBE the last week. How do I tell it to do this???

  • Answer:

Open Gmail page > Click Setting upper above > Forwarding ad POP/IMAP tab > Pop Download section > Number 2. When messages are accessed with Pop > Click the pull down menu for delete Gmail copy > Save Changes. Anytime you want Outlook do something, go back to gmail setting and click the pull down menu, select either delete, archive or copy and Save Changes. I've no idea how to tell Outlook that you want last week messages. For important messages choose archive in gmail copy inbox. For last week messages to export from Outlook to Gmail. This idea just pop up in my head before I click Submit button.
