In Outlook Express, get socket Error 10061 Error No. 800CCCOE on Bt openworld email, checked configured OK,?

My Orange email messages comes into Outlook Express fine, but the Bt one has the above error message, yet the messages come onto my MailWasher Spam filter ok, but not onto Outlook Express, I have checked the mail accounts with your questions & answers and are fine. I am using Windows XP Pro. SP2, Outlook Express 6. Can anyone help me, why this is happening please?

Check the settings on your outgoing smtp server. There was a recent change that requires some users to change their outgoing settings so that the id referenced matches the email address. Example: [email protected] smtp.email.yahoo.com Also make sure SSL is checked which should set port 465
