Is it possible to setup imap with yahoo account?

Need help with IMAP pop3 email forwarding Gmail, yahoo to phone?

• Need some help, I had to reinstall windows and cannot remember how I setup my email with windows mail. It is complicated: I am using yahoo mail plus with my gmail account and my cell phone. My cell phone would only work with a gmail, I believe I had my yahoo mail forwarding to gmail and my gmail linked using IMAP to my windows mail. I cannot remember if I had to use yahoo mail and gmail with windows mail or just the gmail... This is tricky stuff... please someone help.

  ... and my cell phone would only work with a gmail, .. This sounds as if you had a forwarding of yahoo mails to gmail. Gmail has IMAP access (must be activated, under settings ...) Maybe you like to keep a copy of the forwarded mails in yahoo's inbox, if so, you have to set it up there. The difference between the 2 scenarios is .. if you forward yahoo mails to gmail, you need to set up 1 account (access to Gmail) in windows mail. Otherwise you can direct access yahoo plus out of windows mail, but have to set up a 2nd account in windows mail. good luck.
