How do i access my student email from home?

I need to send an email to my tutor from my own student email address but i do not know how i can send this. I attend college and the college issues you an email address, how can i use this from home? I tried creating a Microsoft office outlook account with the address but it does not send. Im sure this seems like a silly question and its probably a very obvious answer, but atm i am very confused

What college do you attend? I work at a local hospital the DOES NOT allow you to forward email from Microsoft Office. However, it depends on the college. We may be able to help if we know the college.
