Thunderbird stole hotmail's messages?
-
Hi. I just installed thunderbird, email client, and entered my hotmail account. It immediately started downloading the messages from the server, and so the messages were deleted on the server and stored in thunderbird. I forgot to turn that off in thunderbird. is there any way i can restore these messages in my hotmail server? Forwarding just attaches the messages to be reopened with thunderbird. Please help! Thanks!

Answer:
There is an account option in Thunderbird to leave mail on the server. Once you check it the mail will remain unless deleted on the web. It will still download the forwarded mail to Thunderbird. There is no way to stop that. You will also lose the original date and the subject will begin with RE: on the forwarded mail. There is no way to return to the way it was before downloading and deleting. ɦəlʞɹɐq
