How to sync Yahoo mail with outlook?

Sync problem between Yahoo mail and Outlook?

  • I synced my Yahoo mail with Outlook (having upgraded to Yahoo plus). Unfortunately, I got the settings wrong somehow and now all the emails have gone from Yahoo (they're on Outlook though). Is there a way to: 1) Get all the emails back onto my Yahoo mail? 2) Keep them synced so that any changes I make on one will be reflected on the other? Thanks.

    The reason why this happened is because you forgot to enable the "Leave a copy of message on server" feature on your Outlook settings. I'm afraid the only way to restore them back to Yahoo! Mail is to forward them to your own email address individually. It's not possible to synced all the actions you do in your Outlook with your Yahoo! Mailbox using POP access. This particular function is only available through IMAP which currently not supported by Yahoo! Mail with external mail clients like Outlook. IMAP can only be used through mobile devices like iPod. You may try contacting Yahoo! Mail live chat for further assistance on this URL: http://help.yahoo.com/l/uk/yahoo/mail/classic/forms_index.html. Just click on Contact Us tab once you got in to the page. They're available from 6:00 A.M - 6:00 P.M. London time.
