How do I set up my personal email through Outlook Express?

How do I set up OutLook Express to open my Yahoo email ?

• I want to be able to open my mail from my Yahoo email address with OutLook Express . I have Windows XP . I went trough the steps to add a new address in the outlook program but I got to a page tha asks what source send mail and what source receives it . I typed in Yahoo for both . At the top of that sme page it asks if something is POP or something like that or about three other abreviations that I'm suppose to choose one from . I guessed and chose the first one . Then I completed the rest of the step to try to add the email , it said I was finished . I had a friend send me a test email but it didn't work in outlook express , I'm sure I entered something wrong , I did receive the email opening it through the yahoo page . Can anyone tell me what to enter on that page or what I did wrong ?
