Yahoo mail not working in windows live?

WIndows Live Mail and Yahoo.co.uk suddenly stopped working!?

  • I have been using Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail since January this year. I have two @yahoo.co.uk accounts and two @ymail.com accounts. I have never had any problems until yesterday. One of my ymail accounts will no longer sync. I have changed nothing at all. When I try to sync I keep getting asked for my user name and password. I enter them then click OK but the box keeps reappearing. The only way to get rid of it is to cancel it, I then get this message: Unable to send or receive messages for the (****) Ymail account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account. Server Error: 0x800CCC90 Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] Error logging in. Please visit http://mail.yahoo.com Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92 Protocol: POP3 Port: 110 Secure(SSL): No I can use my details to log in via the yahoo website so they are correct. This is really frustrating. The other 3 accounts are set up in the exact same way but they work fine. I have tried removing the account, restarting messenger, then adding the account again, but this did not work either.

  • Answer:

I can't access my mail either, for the last day or so. All seems correct, reset password (at yahoo) and tried from different computers. Still no joy. There certainly seems to be a problem at Yahoo end.
