How can you recover an microsoft outlook email account?

we had our home computer fixed for some virus that we had on it but when we got it back my dad lost all of his emails that he has been filing in outlookfor quite some time now. and now outlook is set for some new email account. how can we set it back to his old email and recover the emails that have been lost?

You can set up Outlook to download mail from a number of accounts on to the same computer. Go to Tools > Email Accounts > Add a new Email Account > POP3 > enter the details of his old account. When the process is complete, his old emails should download into Outlook again. In setting up accounts in Outlook, its always wise to click More Settings, and then on the Advanced tab check the box that says "Leave a copy of messages on the server". This enables you to recover in situations like this experience you've had.
