Does anyone know what are the incoming and outgoing servers for yahoo mail?

My Outlook POP connection has quit working and I cannot get it to send or receive my Yahoo Mail...anyone help?

  • I have Yahoo Mail Plus and have been using the POP connection through Outlook since last fall. Last week it totally quit working and so did my husband's account. I rechecked server and port settings and found we had both been moved to different servers. I reset both our accounts and they worked fine. A day later, mine quit working again. My husband's still is working. I have rechecked the account settings under my yahoo account and have everything set under the right servers and ports. I am getting an error that the server cannot be found and also an unknown error. Anyone have any suggestions? This is killing me. I need my mails in Outlook to keep everything organized and straight. With 4 days like this my head is starting to spin...please let me know if anyone has an idea of what I can do to fix this! :) Thanks!

I had the same problem. For some unknown reason, Yahoo has renamed their POP mail servers. The address you need to access is now plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com and the SMTP (outgoing) server is different as well. If you edit your account settings in Outlook and make these changes, it should work again.
