How do I enable POP access on my Yahoo account?

Help!! Problems with POP access of my Yahoo mail plus account on Outlook 2003!?

• Hi, I bought Yahoo Mail Plus recently in order to access my yahoo account from Outlook 2003. When I selected the "test connection settings", all settings were ok except "send test email" which is giving the following error message: "Outlook could not logon to the outgoing mail server(SMTP). The problem could be the server name, your server may require authentication, or your server may not support SSL. Verify authentication and SSL options under More Settings." Also my Sent Mail items from my yahoo account are not getting loaded into my outlook. I have searched the net for all possible solutions to this problem like different port numbers, running the scanpst.exe file, etc and tried them all out in vain. Please HELP! Thanks!

  1) Troubleshooting tips If you still can’t send Yahoo! Mail from Outlook, you might be accessing the Internet through an ISP that is blocking the SMTP port. If this is the case, try using port 587 when sending email via Yahoo!'s SMTP server. 2) POP3 will not download your Sent Mail from the web to your Outlook program, nor copy Sent Mail from Outlook back to the web version. You need the IMAP set-up for this and Yahoo doesn't do that.
