Why would yahoo email send through outlook 2007 does not leave the outbox.?

I am having a big problem with Outlook 2007 that made my friends very unhappy. When I send an email in Outlook 2007 with a Yahoo account , the email stays in the outbox, and Outlook (2007) keep sending the same email over and over and never clear that outbox and never quit until I actually close Outlook or delete that email from the outbox. The recipients receive that email hundreds of times. The irony this does not happen all the time and for sure not with Hotmail account, only with the Yahoo one. Please help.

Answer:
I would guess that outlook is not receiving confirmation that the e-mail is sent. If you have a firewall program installed, check the settings.If you use Zonealarm, for example, change the crosses (deny) to question marks (ask) and see how you go from there.
