How do I send a message using yahoo mail?

I have subscribed to Yahoo Mail Plus; but now I get the message "cannot send the msg using the server ...

The full box i get says: "cannot send message using the server smtp.mail.yahoo.com'. It has worked fine all the time until yesterday though, and it works fine for incoming email. Whom can I turn to for help? My mail client is the "Mail" programme on AppleWorks.
