How do I get emails back to yahoo from outlook?

Help! Outlook stole my yahoo emails & I can't get them back online!?

  • I installed Outlook 2007 today & set it up with my yahoo email to try it out. Much to my shock, I can no longer access my yahoo inbox online, and Outlook did not import my extensive yahoo folder filing system. I don't want to use Outlook - I just want my yahoo account back the way it was. I deleted my yahoo account on Outlook's Data File Management link - but how do I send my inbox emails back to my yahoo account?

    That's what Outlook does. It downloads the email from the server and when it is done it signals the server to delete the email. For future reference you will need to change this setting to keep the email on the server: Open Outlook > click Tools > Accounts > highlight the account and click Properties > Advanced tab and select "leave a copy of messages on server" >click OK. As for the messages already downloaded, you will need to forward them back to you if you want them online.

wow.... see if there is a outlook.pst file still on your machine.... hopefully you can still import an archive file or the original.. hopefully... when you do, then some of the other users here can answer you ..
