Outlook express to yahoo mail?

Outlook Express deleted my Yahoo mail messages?

I used Outlook Express for the first time, and I didn't see that there was an option that after importing the Yahoo emails into Outlook, it would delete those messages from Yahoo Mail. Now when I opened Yahoo Mail in the browser, it is showing the inbox as empty. The messages are there in Outlook Express, but is there any way so that I can get those messages back to where they originally were? Also, the Sent Items folder in Yahoo Mail contains messages, but Outlook Express hasn't imported those mails, and the sent items folder in Outlook Express is empty. How do I get those? Thanks.
Answer:

If you want to keep your messages in Yahoo, change the following in OE: Go to Tools > Accounts > Mail > Properties > Advanced Look at the bottom, and tick 'Leave a copy of the message on server'
