Why does Yahoo keeps locking up?

Usng outlook exp and yahoo with POP msgs Yahoo Inbox msgs deleted when fwd to Outlook. Why? Gmail keeps both?

  • My wife use Yahoo Mail and I use gmail. We use POP and Outlook so that we can select the Sender name (from) when sending email attachments from a web site. Gmail allows me to see all mail in Gmail (sent and received) but as far as I can tell Yahoo Mail doesn't. Is there any way to solve this problem?

    you will have to configure your YAHOO account created on OUTLOOK well for LATEST Outlook 2003 i am writing the steps to change the settings Look at the TOP you will see TOOLS, click on it, then you will see Acounts Settings click on it, a new window will come up, in that window you will see E-MAIL Tab, under this TAB you will see Change.. button, click on it, then again a new window will come look at the Right hand Bottom you will see More Settings, click om it, again a new window of INTERNET E-Mail Settings will come up, Look at the Top you will ADVANCED Tab, click on that ADVANCED TAB, now Look at the Bottom you will see a check-box of "Leave a copy of messeges on Server" Put a check on it and chose the apt. option below that, Recomended will be "Remove from Server When Deleted form DELETED ITEMS" click OK, the Click NEXT in the next Window, then click FINISH, and the again in the Next window click OK and you are done with it

Gmail "forwarding" has the option to retain forwarded email online. Gmail does not itself have an option to retain pop3 email. Forwarding and pop3 are not the same thing. If you use Outlook Express to receive email through pop3 there is an account option in OE to retain the email on the server. ✔
