How do I set up my personal email through Outlook Express?

How do i set up my email for the first time after bying a HP Netbook with Microsoft Outlook Express?

  • I bought a HP Net Book new in July and when prompted by Microsoft Outlook Expresss to set up my email for the first time i did it wrong. So now if i want to email a article from online to somebody i cant do it cause my emailon the Net Book isnt set up right. I dont know what to put for incoming email outgoing email type, or server or anything. I need detailed instructios for how to set up Microsoft outlook Express. Please help me! Thanks! Debbie Rios

To setup your email client for working with your Yahoo account, you need to select the POP3 protocol and use the following mail server settings: Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.com (port 110) Use SSL Port 995 Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (port 25) Use SSL and TLS Port 465 - If you are using the paid (Plus) version of Yahoo-Mail: Incoming mail server (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com See this link for more detailed instructions: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/mailplus/pop/pop-08.html I am not sure, but POP3 is not accesible to all free mailaccounts, maybe only for UK, NZ and AUS, not for US and other countries.
